Guide to the Curriculum Cymreig --> Science
The following links aims to direct users to internet resources within Wales on the Web that may be of use to the teaching of the Curriculum Cymreig and to schools in general. Many websites include material that are created for use in schools or have facilities that cater for school visits. These websites have an education icon at the bottom of the resource description.
Websites without an education icon also contain valuable material. Even though they do not contain material created specifically for schools, they could well make a great contribution to the provision of the Curriculum Cymreig both in primary and secondary schools. It is especially useful for those looking for material relating to Wales that can be used in their teaching. This page also contain links to relevant sections of NGFL Cymru.

Science teaching material within NGFL Cymru
Recommended websites covering all aspects of Science in Wales include:
- The Science Cymru has teaching material on the living, material and the physical world. The Science Cymru 'flash' website contains interactive activities aimed at making learning science more fun for children aged between 8 and 11.
- The Science Cafe Wales is a new Wales-wide project enabling people to find out more about new, exciting and topical areas of science. Designed to be informal and entertaining, the Cafés run regularly in existing coffee houses or bars on a weekday evening. There will be a short talk by an invited speaker on a new or controversial science-related topic, followed by a discussion where members of the audience get the chance to ask any questions they may have. There are five science cafés across Wales: Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham.
- Techniquest (Cardiff) and Techniquest@Newi (Wrexham) are science educational centres that hold many curriculum based science exhibitions. The aim is to increase the public's greater understanding and appreciation of science. The websites have a schools theme section with curriculum information and details of activities and events.
