The Central African Association (CAA) was formed in September 2001 to address social deprivation that refugees and asylum seekers experience when they first arrive in Wales. They provide support for new arrivals and provide advice on a number of important issues for their integration. It is a one-stop point for refugees and asylum seekers from the Central African region for advocacy, information, guidance, and support on resettlement issues including education, employment, health, housing, immigration, self-reliance and training. The Central African Association are based in Cardiff.

Cultural Explosion will create new ongoing linkages (especially young people) between Wales and the ten new member states of the European Union (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Cyprus and Malta). They will also raise awareness about Wales and Welsh culture in these countries. Creu Cyfle-Cultural Explosion is an Institute of Welsh Affairs led initiative involving a number of creative Welsh organisations including Academi, Dawns i Bawb, Gwynedd Council, S4C, and the William Mathias Music Centre. Many cultural events are taking place to coincide with the initiative. The website also provides information a number of useful links to all new European Union Member states.
