Summary Axis Web is a database of artist who live and work in the UK. It is also a resource for teachers and students of art and design to discover the work of contemporary artists. Axis is a not-for-profit organisation core funded by Arts Council of England and the Arts Council of Wales. It is possible to search through artwork type: collage, basketry, calligraphy/lettering, fashion/clothing, environmental art, fibre art, glass, graphics, interior design, jewellery, metalwork, model making, mosiac, mural, painting, photograph, toy making, sculpture, theatre design and woodwork. It is possible to search for artists by region and for artists working in schools. Each listing has a Artist overview and a listing of past exhibitions.

Title Communities Cymru Culturenet Cymru.
Summary Communities Cymru is a Culturenet Cymru project enabling community groups to create stimulating digital content from local projects. The first of these projects is 'The Llandrindod Wells Portraits' which is created in collaboration with Radnorshire Museum and the Radnorshire Branch of the Powys Family History Society. The project has digitised 2000 glass negatives, of which only 10% of the portrait photographs could be positively identified- as a result, residents of Powys are asked to visit the site in order to provide names and information to these photographs.
Summary Mae Cymunedau Cymru yn brosiect gan Culturenet Cymru i alluogi grŵpiau cymunedol i greu cynnwys digidol o brosiectau lleol. Y cyntaf o'r prosiectau yw 'Portreadau Llandrindod' sydd wedi'i greu ar y cyd ag Amgueddfa Brycheiniog a Changen Brycheiniog o Gymdeithas Hanes Teuluol Powys. Title Early Photography in Swansea National Library of Wales.
Summary The middle of the nineteenth century saw much development in the field of photography in Swansea and was home to many of the early pioneers. The area was saw the world's first family albums with photographs and the pioneers often showed their interest in and knowledge of both art and science through photographs. They also made important technical discoveries and took the first 'instantaneous' photographs. The website provides a short history of photography in Swansea during the nineteenth century and has details of many Welsh pioneers from the area including the Dillwyn Llewelyn family of Penlle'r-gaer Estate. Many of these photographs have been digitised and are now available to view online. The website also provides a further reading and recommended links section on the history of photography.

Summary A site dedicated to the preservation of old photographs of north Wales. Time Past is a website for North Wales photo archives, and contains images from a number of postcards and other photographs. The archives cover the period 1850-1950. There are photographs of Bethesda, Betws y Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Buckley, Colwyn Bay, Dyserth, Flint, Holywell, Llanfairfechan, Mold, Nerquis, Old Colwyn, Portmeirion and Rhos on Sea. Times Past is a volunteer site, and is of benefit to students, researchers, collectors and historical societies.
