Books from the Past is an on-line collection of books of national cultural interest which have long been out of print, and are unlikely to be reprinted by traditional means. It is a project that was developed by Culturenet Cymru and the Welsh Books Council, and is a resource freely accessible to all. The texts are available online in two forms - as images of the original book pages, together with a fully searchable electronic text which is also suitable for printing. The website also includes information about the project's background as well as the opportunity to send feedback. Books in Welsh include: 'Ysten Sioned' by D Silvan Evans & John Jones, 'Breuddwyd Pabydd wrth ei Ewyllys I & II' by Emrys ap Iwan, 'Caniadau' by John Morris Jones, 'Ephraim Harris' by D.T. Davies and 'Teulu Bach Nantoer' by L.M. Owen (Moelona). Books in Englsh include: 'The Adventures and Vagaries of Twm Shon Catti' by T J Llewelyn Prichard, 'Change' by J O Francis, 'Gwen' by Lewis Morris and the 'The Human Factor' by Naunton Davies.

The Library of Wales is a Welsh Assembly Government project designed to ensure that the rich and extensive literature of Wales written in English is made available to readers in and beyond Wales. The Library of Wales is published by Parthian. The Series Editor is Professor Dai Smith.
The first two titles are Border Country by Raymond Williams and So Long, Hector Bebb, by Ron Berry. The project will bring back to print a long list of English-language classics from Wales. Aimed at the general reader the initial list of titles will include volumes by Gwyn Thomas, Raymond Williams and the Rhondda writer Ron Berry. The Library of Wales will revive interest in literary classics as well as giving fresh impetus to promoting new English-language writing from Wales.

Winter Words Powys County Council.

Winter Words is a Powys Library Service online creative writing course which ran between October 2004 and April 2005. The project have organised face-to-face writing workshops with well known writers such as Ann Drysdale, Menna Elfyn and Robert Nisbet. The “writers-in-residence” will put up a different workshop, with various assignments for you to have a go at based on the theme for that month. Yr Academi Gymreig/The Welsh Academy (the Welsh National Literature Promotion Agency and Society of Writers) are partners in the project. The website provides information on how to participate in the project and details of past workshops.
