Title Caradoc Evans The Literary Encyclopedia.
Summary Caradoc Evans (1878-1945) - a story writer, a playwright and a novelist, was born in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, and is widely regarded as being one of the pioneers of Anglo-Welsh literature. Having moved to London he became a journalist, before publishing the first of three collections of short stories (My People, 1915) dealing with characters in agricultural Wales. In this work, as in most of his others, "tension between English...and Welsh...was at the heart of his writing". The website contains pages on Works by Evans, and Books about the author.
