Summary The museum is housed in the former Risca Colliers Institute, built 1916, and is run by members of Oxford House (Risca) Industrial History Society. It contains the society's collection of artifacts, photographs and memorabilia relating to the Monmouthshire canal and its tramroads, railways, coal mining, the iron and tinplate industry, brick making and other industries connected with Risca and its environs. Pride of place goes to an Edwardian chemist's shop rescued from James Street, Cardiff.
